Volkswagen Financial Services’ Ernst Jan van Eijkelenburg to join fireside chat at Auto Finance Summit East 2026

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that Volkswagen Financial Services President and Chief Executive Ernst Jan van Eijkelenburg will join a one-on-one fireside chat at Auto Finance Summit East 2026, taking place May 11-13 at JW Mariott Nashville.

Van Eijkelenburg, who also serves as North American region manager for Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS), will discuss U.S. leasing and financing strategy across the Audi, Ducati and Volkswagen brands in a fireside chat scheduled for 11 a.m. CT on May 12.

He joins Kevin Cullum, president and CEO of Nissan Motor Acceptance Co., who will speak at a another fireside chat at 9:15 a.m. that day.

Van Eijkelenburg’s chat will come as VWFS transitions to a leasing organization. Its deal with Wells Fargo, the preferred lender for Volkswagen and Audi brands in the United States, will expand to include Ducati this year. VWFS continues to service existing retail contracts originated before May 2025, and Ducati contracts.

Van Eijkelenburg, who has served as CEO since 2023, has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, including roles across commercial management, auto lending in China and Taiwan, sales, logistics, marketing and communications.

VWFS finished 2024 as the 16th-largest auto lender by outstandings with a portfolio of $30.1 billion, according to the latest Big Wheels Rankings data.
