NextGear Capital’s Garrett Connor to speak at Auto Finance Capital Summit
Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that Garrett Connor, finance manager at NextGear Capital, will participate in a panel discussion on investor sentiment on capital markets pricing and risk at the inaugural Auto Finance Capital Summit, taking place May 11-12 at the JW Marriott in Nashville, Tenn.
Connor will join the panel, “The investor perspective — pricing risk in 2026,” on Monday, May 11, at 11:45 a.m. CT.
Connor has been with NextGear Capital since 2017 and has led its securitization initiatives since 2020. Previously, he worked in risk analytics, where he developed strategies to reduce company losses.
At the summit, he will join a discussion with:
- Ines Beato, associate managing director and sector lead at Morningstar DBRS;
- Eugene Belostotsky, managing director of ABS and mortgage credit strategy at Citi; and
- Jason Person, chief financial officer at SAFCO.
The panelists will discuss:
- Risk-based pricing;
- Lessons from Tricolor;
- Investor appetite for bespoke and illiquid deals; and
- Spreads vs. corporates and relative value.
NextGear Capital’s 2026 securitization collateral pool includes about $3.6 billion in floorplan receivables across 15,161 dealer accounts as of Dec. 31, 2025, according to a Feb. 26 S&P Global release. The floorplan lender’s average credit line per dealer had a 55.3% utilization rate and a weighted average interest rate of 11.5%.
The Auto Finance Capital Summit will offer attendees a comprehensive look at trends in funding, securitization and investment across the auto finance sector.
