Bank of America’s Freeman to join Auto Finance Summit East 2026

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that Duane Freeman, senior vice president of consumer vehicle lending at Bank of America, will join an executive dialogue at Auto Finance Summit East, taking place May 11-13 at the JW Marriott Nashville.

Freeman will discuss automation innovation, affordability concerns and inflation at in a session titled “Executive dialogue on strategies for the next era in auto finance” set for Tuesday, May 12, at 9:45 a.m. local time.

Executives joining Freeman include:

  • Jeffrey Butler, president at AutoNation Finance;
  • Annie Fallows, executive vice president at Capital One; and
  • Laurinda Rainey, managing director and head of consumer and digital channels at Chase Auto.

Bank of America was the tenth-largest auto lender by outstandings at yearend 2024, according to the latest Big Wheels ranking data. The bank’s indirect and direct consumer outstandings, primarily consisting of auto and specialty loans, fell 0.4% year over year to $53.9 billion in the first quarter, according to its most recent earnings supplement.

The bank’s commercial commitments to dealers totaled $25.1 million in Q1, up 6.5% YoY, according to the supplement.

Freeman, who took on his current role in January 2022, has more than 22 years of experience in client management, commercial banking and consumer vehicle lending at Bank of America. He worked for Ford Motor Credit as a credit analyst and dealer account manager for more than seven years.
