Kunes Auto Group’s Hensel to speak at Auto Finance Summit East 2026

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that Scot Hensel, finance director at Kunes Auto Group, will join a panel discussion at Auto Finance Summit East, taking place May 11-13 at the JW Marriott Nashville. 

Hensel will speak on the panel “Nonprime in 2026: Risk management, resilience and the road ahead,” scheduled on Wednesday, May 13, from 9:35 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. local time.

He will be joined by: 

  • Chris Goodman, president and chief executive at OpenRoad Lending; 
  • Jody Lambert, vice president of dealer services risk management at Anderson Brothers Bank; and 
  • Doug Marohn, CEO at Edge Financial Services. 

The session will explore navigating longer-term loans, rising payment-to-income ratios and tightening consumer budgets, along with improving risk management and title verification practices in a post-Tricolor environment. Panelists will also discuss how lenders are adapting to company failures as performance trends normalize. 

Hensel brings more than four decades of automotive experience, beginning his career in 1986 as a car porter before advancing through service, sales and finance roles. He joined Kunes Auto Group in 2013 as a special finance manager, helping build and scale the company’s finance operations during its early growth phase.
