Eduardo Perez is a distinguished executive in the automotive finance industry, currently serving as Chief Customer Officer at Tricolor Holdings, a national leader in used car sales and financing with a $1.5B+ portfolio across the US and Mexico. With over 20 years of award-winning experience, he has driven operational excellence and customer-centric transformations in auto finance and related sectors.
Since joining Tricolor Holdings in 2019, Mr. Perez has served in various roles from leading sales and loan servicing. Tricolor has grown 2-3X over the past 5 years to help establish Tricolor as one of the largest used car companies in the US and during that time Eduardo has been a key part in helping to create scalable operations while also improving customer experience. He helped to transform Tricolor’s Net Promoter Score from -20 to a consistent 75-85 while reducing complaints by 85%. Eduardo has recently received recognition as the 2024 Most Influential Chief Customer Officer by CXO Magazine and 2023 Top 10 Chief Customer Officer by MarTech.
Prior to Tricolor, Eduardo worked at Capital One at multiple roles. He served as Director of Originations, where he redesigned the originations process, reducing compliance errors by 90%. As Director of Back Office & Payment Operations, while driving a 45% reduction in payment processing cycle times. At Capital One, Eduardo was recognized as one of the top young executives, winning multiple Circle of Excellence Awards while also serving as President of the Capital One National Hispanic Network. In 2016, Eduardo was recipient of the YHCA 40 Under 40 award across all Hispanic Execs at Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Perez began his career as an engineer with heavy emphasis on analytics and process improvements of operations, honing his expertise in operations and customer experience. He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, an MSE from Grand Valley State University, a bachelor’s in engineering from Hope College and graduate certificates in Digital Transformation from MIT Sloan and Design Thinking from Stanford University.
A recognized thought leader, Mr. Perez has authored publications on process improvement and leadership, including the book “Simplified Process Improvement, The art of process improvement decoded in 5 simple steps”, and has spoken at various industry events. His passion is for business analysis, people leadership and operational excellence.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Eduardo volunteers his evenings to teach Financial Literacy to the Hispanic Community, participate in soccer and softball clubs, while being the proud father of 2 and married to his beautiful wife Rosa.
