Erik Laney is Chief Financial Officer of Santander US’ Auto business (“Santander Consumer” or “SC”) and Head of Finance for Consumer & Business Banking (CBB).

Since joining Santander US in December 2014, Erik has served in various roles, including Treasurer, Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Prior to joining Santander, Erik worked at JP Morgan’s Investment bank in the Financial Institutions Coverage group as well as the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities Capital Markets group.

At Santander US, Erik leads a dedicated team of 190 employees and serves as the Executive Sponsor of the Veterans Business Resource Group.

Erik holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

He currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and children.
