Erik Laney is the Chief Financial Officer of the Santander US Auto business, Santander Consumer USA.. Since joining Santander in December 2014, Erik has held several leadership roles, including Treasurer, Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Prior to joining Santander, Erik worked in J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank within the Financial Institutions Coverage Group and the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Capital Markets Group.

At Santander US, Erik currently leads a team of more than 240 employees across financial planning and analysis, capital markets, corporate development, strategic partnerships, and business analytics. He also serves as the Executive Sponsor of the Veterans Business Resource Group.

Erik has been recognized by the Dallas Business Journal as both a “40 Under 40” honoree and a C-Suite Leader honoree, reflecting his exceptional leadership and impact in the Dallas business community.

His commitment to education and youth empowerment is evident through his support of nonprofits such as Wesley-Rankin and his service on the Board of First Tee.

Erik holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and children.
