Ilja founded Axis Auto Finance in 2012 with a bold idea that applying leading-edge financial technology to a large, highly fragmented, and mostly archaic used vehicle retail space would yield success. Under his leadership, Axis has grown it to be the largest Canadian sub-prime automotive finance company. Ilja brought a wealth of experience building successful technology businesses to Axis. He was a co-founder and executive of several tech companies having attracted over $100 million in equity capital and overseeing a number of public listings on the Toronto and NASDAQ markets. Ilja received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Heidelberg, Germany in 1999.
