Jason Bichsel is a Member (Partner) practicing in McGlinchey Staffords’s Consumer Financial Services Compliance practice group. Jason advises banks, finance companies, online lenders, and private companies servicing the automotive industry on regulatory compliance and general business issues. Prior to joining McGlinchey, Jason served for five years as corporate counsel in the BMW Group Legal Department, supporting BMW Financial Services, a wholly-owned financing subsidiary of BMW of North America. In this role, Jason experienced firsthand how legal and compliance departments can work with their clients as trusted business advisors to place appropriate compliance guardrails without slowing down a project. Jason has a wealth of experience related to auto finance and leasing products, including the preparation of custom retail installment contracts and lease agreements. Jason frequently advises clients on issues of nationwide impact, requiring application of state consumer finance laws across the country, as well as federal law.
