Kshamta Kaushik is Head of Global Capital Markets in the U.S., responsible for Scotiabank’s U.S. Sales, Trading and Origination businesses across Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities, and Equities. She is also CEO and board member of Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. and a member of the U.S. Executive Committee.

Kshamta has been with Scotiabank for more than two decades, with roles in Toronto, London, and New York. Previously, she led Scotiabank’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) business in Europe and served on the regional Executive Committee. Throughout her career, she has held senior roles in capital markets and CIB, with deep expertise in derivatives and structured products.

Kshamta holds a Master of Mathematics in Statistics-Finance from the University of Waterloo and is a CFA charter holder. In 2023, she was recognized by Markets Media Women in Finance with the Crystal Ladder award for her journey in Finance. Kshamta was also part of the Scotiabank team awarded the Women in Capital Markets Excellence in Innovation Award, recognizing individuals committed to accelerating the progress of equity in Finance.
