Paul Honda is the Principal Financial Officer (aka CFO) of American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC), Honda’s US captive financial services company located in Torrance, CA.  AHFC is an SEC (debt)-registered company with assets in excess of $80 billion.  In his capacity, he leads the accounting, finance/treasury (e.g., DCM and IR), planning, financial compliance and human resource functions.  He also serves (a) on the company’s board of directors and (b) as the company’s Compliance Officer and Principal Accounting Officer.  Prior to AHFC, he served in various leadership roles at American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Honda’s US sales, manufacturing and R&D company.  Prior to Honda, Paul obtained his auditing experience at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company (now KPMG).  Paul is a CA-licensed CPA and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
