Scott Fontaine

Scott Fontaine, who joined the Flagship team in February 2020, brings 20 years of experience in developing quantitative tools for asset-based financing to his role as Chief Risk Officer of Flagship.  He is the former Executive Director of Automotive Modeling, Valuations and Analytics at Ally Financial, where he was responsible for analytics covering lease residual setting, remarketing, retail loss forecasting and originations scorecards in Fort Washington, PA for the company’s automotive business. 

  

Prior to his nine-year tenure at Ally Financial, Scott was the Vice President of Quantitative Risk Management at GE Capital.  During his time with GE Capital, he led a team responsible for building and validating statistical models for acquisition, loss estimation and built residual models predicting future aircraft values and their volatility.  He held similar quantitative risk roles in the automotive industry at RVI Group, Campbell Group and Standard & Poor’s DRI.   

  

Scott trained for his Ph.D in economics at Boston College.  He has an M.A in economics from Boston College and studied undergraduate at Suffolk University and Brown University.
