Shirley Jones is CFO of Car Pros, one of the fastest growing automotive groups in the US, with nine dealerships in Washington and Southern California representing Kia, Hyundai, Honda, BMW and MINI. Shirley oversees all financial operations, including company-wide budgets, payroll, accounting, reporting, auditing and contracts for Car Pros, which has over 700 employees, is the #1 Kia retailer in the US, has annual sales of more than $1B and is the 45th largest auto group in the nation.  

A graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills, Shirley began her automotive career as a file clerk before serving as Office Manager at Don Kott Automotive, and Comptroller at Sonic Automotive Group at South Bay Chrysler Jeep and Dodge. She joined Car Pros as Office Manager in 2005 and rose to become its Chief Financial Officer in 2018.   

An accomplished and visionary leader, Shirley leverages her journey of success to highlight the opportunities the auto industry offers to those who ‘put in the work’ and who invest in themselves by learning the craft, starting with mentoring, investing in, and promoting employees from within. Shirley is committed to Car Pros’ vision of creating opportunities by providing an open, inclusive and safe environment for team members to grow and thrive while working to change the lives of both employees and customers. As part of that, Shirley cultivates a culture of empowerment, fostering the development of entry level employees into skilled team members, and providing a credit gateway for first time buyers. 

As CFO, she approaches financial operations with an unwavering commitment to ethical principles, and in partnership and collaboration with ownership and all departments to create profitability. One of her proudest accomplishments is building bridges across what, in the dealership world, can often be a siloed organization. The smart, streamlined strategic financial processes and procedures Shirley has put in place help ensure the group’s continued success.  

Shirley’s journey from file clerk to CFO of Car Pros is a shining example of her growth mindset, transitional leadership, and how the power of hard work and opportunity can come together to create success in the auto industry. 

Married for 34 years, Shirley is the proud mother of three sons and three grandchildren. She is an active member of her local church, works with the Los Angeles Food Program charity, and has been involved in sponsorship of World Vision for over 12 years.
