Sumit Sukhramani

Sumit Sukhramani is the Head of Auto Technology. In this role, he is responsible for the systems availability and reliability of the platforms that support more than 3 million indirect auto customers, 11000 dealers nationwide and a loan portfolio over $57 billion.  

Sumit brings over 20 years of industry experience across financial, telecommunication and insurance in the areas of application development & transformation, architecture, product management, infrastructure design, data center development, network engineering and management. He is passionate about building innovative and customer-focused products and improving the overall customer experience. A strong advocate for enabling high-performing teams and fostering strong business collaboration, Sumit believes in empowering talent and helping teams achieve their full potential through continuous improvement, regular feedback, and consistent learning.  

Most recently, Sumit served as the Head of Technology for Personal Lending and Operations leading the collective technology, agile, product and digital transformation of Personal Loans and Credit Card Collections and Servicing. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in July 2020, Sumit spent over 16 years at JPMorgan Chase where he held progressive technology roles leading Servicing across all products and all channels (Auto, Home Lending, and Card), Call center transformation and Digital transformation. He was the Head of Innovations and worked with many early technology companies and fintech’s to enable several business units to deliver market leading capabilities. 

Sumit is the DE&I leader for Charlotte Technology market and for Consumer lending technology. He is actively engaged in his community through volunteerism and serving underserved communities. Sumit earned a Master of Science degree from Kent State University in Ohio and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Rajiv Gandhi University in India. He is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
