Head of Consumer Vehicle Lending

Tim Owens is the Head of Consumer Vehicle Lending, leading a network of Retail Client Managers who work with more than 10,000 dealerships and strategic National Accounts to provide automotive, recreational vehicles and access vehicle financing.  Owens is also responsible for Consumer Vehicle Direct Lending, leading a team of Sales professionals who provide clients a streamlined product with a range of financing options for their personal or small business auto lending needs.  In 2022, Consumer Vehicle Lending achieved $50 billion in consumer vehicle loan balances. 

Previous to this role, Owens served as the National Home Loans Sales Executive, leading a network of approximately 3,500 employees who assist Consumer, Preferred and Global Wealth Management clients with meeting their home loan purchase, refinance and home equity needs.  Prior to leading the national sales teams, he also served as the West Division Fulfillment Operations Executive for Bank of America Home Loans, with responsibility for the end-to-end management and performance of secured underwriting and fulfillment operations of more than 3,000 associates in the Western United States.  

Owens also served as the Production Executive for National Mortgage Outreach for Bank of America. In this role, he was responsible for the end-to-end management, performance and development of Bank of America’s network Customer Assistance Centers, which consisted of 50 locations and 1,000 employees across the country. He also was responsible for the end-to-end management, performance and development of the Advocacy line of business, which consisted of more than 1,000 employees working with Non Profit and for Profit third parties in serving clients with loss mitigation.    

A mortgage and financial services industries veteran of more than 35 years, Owens spent three years as a consultant and practitioner in the financial services industry.  Prior to consulting, Owens was the Chief Sales Officer for Aurora Loan Services, where he led all aspects of the wholesale mortgage sales channel. He has also held senior management roles at Option One Mortgage Corporation, and was the Chief Operating Officer at H&R Block Mortgage Corporation where he spent seven years building the firms retail mortgage banking business. 

Owens earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business from DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
