Panelists address demand, values at PowerSports Finance Summit 2024
The Auto Finance News team is pleased to share that powersports leaders from JD Power, National Powersports Auction and Black Book are scheduled to discuss powersports vehicle demand and values at PowerSports Finance Summit 2024. The summit will be held Oct. 9-10 at Wynn Las Vegas.

The session will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. PT and features Jim Woodruff, chief executive at National Powersport Auctions (NPA); Lenny Sims, vice president of business and development strategy at JD Power; and Scott Yarbrough, senior analyst for the Official Motorcycles and Powersports Value Guide at Black Book.
The three panelists will discuss:
- Understanding collateral values and retention trends by segment;
- Defining underwriting guidelines that work for dealers while maintaining LTVs; and
- Preparing for continued fluctuation in pricing and rates into 2025.
Meet the panelists
The three panelists each have decades of experience in the automotive and powersports industry and will share tips on navigating vehicle demand and values in the powersports market.
Woodruff was appointed CEO at NPA in 2020 after serving as the chief operating officer. His career spans more than 30 years in powersports and technology industries and he is the organization’s second CEO.
Sims joined JD Power in 2017 and has more than 30 years of experience with “growth, pricing and go-to-market strategies” in the automotive and powersports industries, according to his LinkedIn profile. His experience in both industries has given him a “deep understanding of digital direction, transition, market innovation and data and analytics.”
Yarbrough started at Black Book in 1998 and has since contributed to the organization’s gradual digital transformation of available powersports data from a printed guide to resources available online, according to his company biography. Yarbrough provides pricing for motorcycles, ATVs, utility vehicles, personal watercraft and snowmobiles from this model year back to 1981.
