Octane

In this role, Jon leads the Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE), RV, and Marine Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships teams and is responsible for growing Octane’s presence in the Powersports, OPE, RV, and Marine markets, while fostering relationships with the company’s over 4,000 dealer partners and 35 OEM partners.

Under Jon’s leadership, Octane has achieved countless milestones, including entering new markets, introducing award winning tools and technologies, like Octane Prequal®, Prequal Flex®, and Dealer Portal 2.0, and surpassing $6.6B in aggregate originations. He built the Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE), Recreational Vehicle (RV), and Marine Sales and Marketing team, guided Octane’s 36% growth in originations year-over-year in 2024, expanded the company’s strategic agreement with Kawasaki and partnership CFMOTO, and launched Octane’s branded finance program with RideNow. Additional notable accomplishments include building out the Sales function, signing and launching partnerships with Polaris and BRP, and leading Octane’s entrance into the recreational vehicle (RV), tractor, trailer, and mower markets. Because of Jon’s strategic approach, Octane has solidified itself as a top non-captive lender in the powersports industry.

Jon joined Octane in 2017 as the Vice President of Outdoor Power Equipment before being promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2019. He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Head of Sales in February 2021, to Senior Vice President and Head of Growth in April of 2023, and to Senior Vice President, Head of Powersports and OPE in 2024. Jon was named to his current role in 2025. Prior to joining Octane, Jon was the National Sales Director for another national lender, and he held various executive roles within higher education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Missouri.

Out of the office, Jon enjoys off-roading, boating, fishing, and skiing with his family.
