Risk vs. reward: Subprime lenders debate at Auto Finance Summit
Four auto finance leaders will face off in teams to discuss risk and reward in the subprime lending landscape in a classic debate format during Auto Finance Summit 2024, returning Oct. 7-9 at Wynn Las Vegas.
The subprime debate is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The debate will explore key questions such as:
- Is expansion into lower credit tiers smart amid affordability concerns, elevated delinquencies and rising household debt?
- Is the market ripe for auto lenders to loosen standards?
- Is there a good way to balance risk management with subprime demand?
- To what degree should auto lenders rely on AI for decisioning?
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear different takes on these questions from executives with a range of experience in auto finance and subprime lending. Panelists will be tasked with supporting their stance on each topic through industry knowledge and data.
