Mike Lavin joined Consumer Portfolio Services, Inc. (CPS) in November of 2001.  He was hired as the Vice President of Legal, later being appointed Chief Legal Officer, then Chief Operating and is now the President.  Mike is responsible for the following departments: Sales, Originations, Servicing, Risk, Systems, IT, Human Resources, Legal and Investor Relations.  Mike leads an experienced management team at CPS, with an average tenure of 24 years at CPS and over 300+ years in subprime auto finance.  The team, along with 1,000 dedicated employees, have produced 52 straight profitable quarters, executed 102 ABS deals, recently set origination records and exponentially grown the portfolio since the Companies inception 33 years ago.

Mike has a BA in Political Science from University of California Santa Barbara and a Law Degree from University of San Diego and resides in Laguna Beach, California.
